Project Wins URA
ArchitecturAL HERITAGE Award and BCA Gold Award
Another Affirmation of Ken Liong's Award-Winning Photography
Pix Asia Photography scored a
double win by helping leading architectural firm CPG
Architects win 2 prestigious architecture awards within a few months of
each other.
The Awards were the URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) Architectural
Heritage Award 2007 (Category A) and BCA (Building and Construction
Authority) Green Mark Award 2007 (Gold). After a stringent selection
process in May 2007, Pix Asia's Founder and Principal Photographer Ken Liong was
chosen as the preferred photographer to document the construction and
restoration of
Singapore’s only remaining authentic Tudor-style house on the
south-eastern coast of Pulau Ubin island. Over a duration of 2 months,
Ken Liong visited the island many times to embark on a comprehensive
photo coverage involving both interior and exterior of the 2 storey
house, as well as nearby facilities such as the 1km long Chek Jawa
boardwalk, 27 metre high Tree Top lookout and viewing jetty.

"We are indeed honored to be
part of this award-winning project, but most importantly we are very
happy to help our clients succeed," said Ken Liong, Founder and
Principal Photographer of Pix Asia. "The team was fully committed
throughout the assignment as we stayed on-site through sunshine and
rain, from dawn till dusk. Besides using special perspective control
lenses, strobe lights and floodlights were also expertly balanced with
ambient light to bring out the ambience and character of the place.
Finally, we would also like to thank Principal Architect Ms Wong Wai
Ying and the builders Precise Development for their warm support and
assistance throughout the assignment."
